An effective response depends on competent personnel working to a well developed plan that has been adequately resourced and regularly exercised. In November 2015, OSRL supported one of its Members, Tullow Ghana, in their annual response preparedness exercise, testing all functions of preparedness and incident management.

Return of the Hercules C-130A aircraft to Singapore

Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) is pleased to confirm the arrival of the C-130A Hercules aircraft, direct from International Air Response headquarters in Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, Arizona, following its periodic C Check and re-spray in OSRL livery. The C-130 Hercules registration N119TG will replace the Embraer EMB 110 Bandeirante aircraft stationed in Singapore as of January 1, 2016.

Resizing our command centre equipment package for quicker deployment

A command centre package is usually stored in a 20-foot container, but OSRL has recently installed the package in a fully contained, highly transportable trailer (with dimensions of 4.78 (L) x 2.1 (W) x 2.05 (H) metres and a gross weight of 1800 kilograms) to enable faster deployment during a spill incident.

A 1969 Nuffield 4/65 tractor was restored to its former glory by our hard working apprentices and sold at the largest agricultural machinery auction in Hereford, UK on 14 August 2015.
