Jeff has a Bachelor degree in geology from San Francisco State University and a Master’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley.  He is Chevron’s Manager of Emergency Response and has been with the company over 30 years working in a wide range of environmental and business planning functions including Upstream, Chemicals, Pipeline, Environmental Management Company, and for the past 8 years with Corporate Emergency Response.  Jeff also serves on the Board of Directors of the Marine Preservation Association and is on the steering committees for the API and IOGP Joint Industry Projects for Oil Spill Preparedness and Response. He first became an Executive Director of OSRL in 2009 and in December 2015 was appointed as an Independent Director. He is currently the serving Chairman.

Gordon joined the Association as Executive Director in January 2016 after spending more than 30 years working with oilfield services company, Schlumberger, on four continents. He became Schlumberger’s UK Chair in 2005. He has also served as Chair of the UK’s Oil and Gas Industry Council and was co-Chair of the industry trade association, Oil & Gas UK.  He remains Chair of OPITO International, the upstream oil & gas skills organisation. Gordon graduated from the University of Glasgow with a B.SC. Hons in Civil Engineering, and holds a Masters in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot‐Watt University.

Michel is a graduate engineer and Bachelor of Sciences from the University of Toulouse and from the French Institute of Petroleum in Paris (IFP). He started his career as an R&D engineer in the USA, involved in the development of deep offshore oil & gas technologies within the Fluor Group.

In 2000, he was appointed Managing Director of TotalElfFina Exploration UK during the merger of TotalFina and Elf and in 2006 became Senior Vice-President Europe and a member of Total E&P Executive Committee through to his retirement in 2010. Experience with Total SA included upstream engineering, operational and managerial positions around the globe.  Michel is also a Non Executive Director of the Board of Expro International Group Ltd, and has contributed in a similar capacity within other organisations.

Greg has fulfilled the role of ExxonMobil’s Shareholder Representative for OSRL for 6 years. He is currently responsible for co-ordinating tactical and strategic-level support for the Corporation’s preparedness and response efforts to a variety of hazards - serving as primary interface with Tier 3 response co-operatives, trade associations and government agencies on oil spill response matters.  He is active in API and IPIECA-IOGP JIPs and is currently Chair of API’s Spills Advisory Group. Assignments with ExxonMobil during a period of some 20 years have included operations, supply, and SH&E activities. Prior to that Greg served for 7 years as a consultant to the Federal government assisting with the development of regulations stemming from the Oil Pollution Act of 1990. He also served as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard both on active duty and in the reserves where he focused on oil spill response issues in addition to serving as a deck officer on USCG cutters. Greg is currently Chair of the Board of Directors of the Marine Preservation Association.

Brian has an MBA qualification and his career experience includes managing high risk activities both at sea and onshore, in Upstream and Downstream Businesses, including leadership roles in HSSE and Oil Spill Emergency Response. His early career, and chosen profession, was as a seafarer when he spent 14 years mainly on oil tankers in many parts of the world, joining the Shell seagoing fleet in 1988. During the subsequent 20 years with Shell, he has held mainly maritime related roles, including UK LPG marine export terminal manager, North Sea shuttle tanker contracts & operations advisor, Global Maritime Audit team leader, and Global Lead on Upstream maritime operations. His current position encompasses global Oil Spill Preparedness & Response and also HSSE accountability for global Trading & Shipping.

After graduating with a first class degree in mechanical engineering from Loughborough University, Guy started his career with BP in 1986 at the Hull chemicals manufacturing site before moving to London in 1993. He joined BP’s Gas Power and Renewables business in 2000 and through various leadership roles built new gas and power businesses for BP in China and Italy before returning to London in 2005 as director of strategy and planning for the global Communications and External Affairs function. Guy joined BP’s Alternative Energy business in late 2007, holding finance, commercial and business leadership roles, including that of Chief Financial Officer for BP’s Hydrogen Power Business and its Corporate Venturing business. Prior to appointment as CFO for BP Shipping, Guy was head of the corporate executive office which encompassed BP’s Trading, Alternative Energy, Shipping, Remediation Management and Group Technology activities.

This includes a progressive 16 years in the fire & emergency medical service and 14 years in emergency management within both the public and private sectors.  His career has covered major emergency events that include Super Bowl XXXVIII, NBA and MLB All-Star Games, a World Series, TS Allison, Hurricanes Katrina Rita, and Ike, and Deep Water Horizon. He is an instructor for both incident management and exercise design and conduct, and he has a true passion for education and building partnerships through collaboration.

Astrid has spent over 25 years in the oil and gas business with professional experience ranging from offshore operations, field development, exploration, strategy & business development to R&D. She has held numerous senior and executive management positions and is currently Vice President Marketing and Origination. During 2013-2016 Astrid was the Senior Vice President and head of Statoil’s joint operations for the Norwegian Continental Shelf responsible for the economy of scale operations including logistics and emergency response. She has also served as Chairman of the Board of the Norwegian Clean Seas Association for Operating Companies (NOFO). Astrid holds an MSc in petroleum engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, NTNU.

Bert has held his current position since 2015 and was previously General Manager for US Onshore operations at Murphy Oil.  Prior to that, he was Country Manager at Murphy Oil Indonesia from 2009-2012, and during 2005 to 2009 Production Manager for Murphy’s first Deepwater field development, located in Malaysia.  He has thirty-five years of oil industry experience; from exploration and appraisal through design, construction, installation, and commissioning of oil and gas projects. Bert has held technical positions in drilling, reservoir, and production engineering.    He graduated from Montana Tech, with honors in Petroleum Engineering and was a Registered Professional Engineer in the USA from 1996 to 2014.

After graduating in Chemical Engineering from the University of Exeter, Robert joined Dresser Atlas Houston in 1980, subsequently holding progressively senior positions in operations, sales and management roles globally.  In 1994 he moved to Singapore as Vice President Asia Pacific.  Following the acquisition of Western Atlas by Baker Hughes in 1998 Robert moved back to Houston as Vice President Global Operations and then Vice President Sales. In 2005, he left Baker Hughes, joined Vetco Aibel and became President of Aibel Holdings. In 2009 Robert left Aibel and joined Total Safety Inc. as Senior Vice President International Operations. In 2013 he was appointed CEO of Oil Spill Response Limited.

Declan worked extensively in Asia and Europe as a Geologist and Drilling Engineer in the exploration and production industry prior to joining OSRL. He was previously the General Manager of the Southampton Base in the United Kingdom before moving to Singapore as Regional Director to oversee operations in Asia Pacific. In his current role, based in Southampton, Declan leads all aspects of the company’s assurance and technical activities, including the oversight of health, safety, environment and quality systems, the development of skills and techniques as well as engagement and liaison with industry and government stakeholders.

Tony has been the Chief Financial Officer of a number of organisations including Hallin Marine, an AIM-listed subsea contracting business that provided services to the oil and gas industry with major presence in South East Asia and the North Sea, Azzurri Technology, a European-based electronic components distribution company, and 4-Sight International, a software development company with activities in Europe and the USA. As Finance Director of OSRL he has overall responsibility for all financial matters of the Group. This includes the regular financial reporting processes, internally and to shareholders; the annual business planning and budget processes; and the communication with members of changes to annual subscription rates. Tony also works with external providers to ensure appropriate financial facilities are in place to support the Group's Response and Preparedness activities.

As SWIS Director Matt is responsible for the subsea well intervention service, ensuring technical and operational readiness of all subsea well intervention equipment, facilities and personnel.

Matt joined OSRL in 1999 and has held positions in Operations and Preparedness, in the UK and Singapore. As project manager, he was previously responsible for developing and establishing OSRL's new Subsea business, including the opening of the new SWIS bases.

Simon has responsibility for the management and development of our preparedness activities. His previous roles include business development and project management positions in marine services and subsea construction companies. Simon is a Naval Architect and Chartered Engineer.

Neil is responsible for the development of the Company's people strategies which include recruitment, career development, performance management and employee engagement.

Prior to joining OSRL, he was HR Director for a global consultancy and contracting organisation, within the infrastructure and real estate sectors. He has held similar HR leadership and line management roles in the construction, industrial and oil and gas sectors. Neil is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building.

Prior to joining the Company, Rob was the Managing Director of an environmental technology spin-off from a major nuclear corporation before moving into the waste management services sector, where he was the General Manager of a growing hazardous waste business.

Rob joined OSRL in 2003 as a Regional Director UK where he is responsible for management of all personnel and services delivered in the Africa, Europe and Middle East regions.

Kurt joined OSRL in 2010 as the Regional Representative for the Americas to expand support to Member companies and customers in Houston. Kurt has 30 years of exploration and production engineering and management experience, including Operational and EHS Risk Management.

Over the past year, Kurt has been involved in developing, promoting and supporting response and preparedness services for numerous international customers. Kurt holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering Technology and is a licensed Professional Engineer.

Darren has spent more than 10 years in various capacities in Spill Response, Training & Consultancy and Business Development. He has been involved in the oil spill response industry for the last 14 years and gained considerable experience from responding to oil spill incidents around the world.

Darren holds a background in engineering and has previously managed the OSRL Training Function and Business Development Teams. He is now the Asia Pacific Regional Director for OSRL with responsibility for the oversight of personnel and service delivery in the region.
