Astrid has spent over 25 years in the oil and gas business with professional experience ranging from offshore operations, field development, exploration, strategy & business development to marketing and trading. She has held numerous senior and executive management positions and is currently Vice President Operations for the Kårstø Gas Processing Plant. During 2013-2016 Astrid was the Senior Vice President and head of Statoil’s joint operations for the Norwegian Continental Shelf responsible for the economy of scale operations including logistics and emergency response. She has also served as Chairman of the Board of the Norwegian Clean Seas Association for Operating Companies (NOFO). Astrid holds an MSc in petroleum engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, NTNU.

Gordon joined the Association as Executive Director in January 2016 after spending more than 30 years working with oilfield services company, Schlumberger, on four continents. He became Schlumberger’s UK Chair in 2005. He has also served as Chair of the UK’s Oil and Gas Industry Council and was co-Chair of the industry trade association, Oil & Gas UK.  He remains Chair of OPITO International, the upstream oil & gas skills organisation. Gordon graduated from the University of Glasgow with a B.SC. Hons in Civil Engineering, and holds a Masters in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot‐Watt University.

Michel is a graduate engineer and Bachelor of Sciences from the University of Toulouse and from the French Institute of Petroleum in Paris (IFP). He started his career as an R&D engineer in the USA, involved in the development of deep offshore oil & gas technologies within the Fluor Group.

In 2000, he was appointed Managing Director of TotalElfFina Exploration UK during the merger of TotalFina and Elf and in 2006 became Senior Vice-President Europe and a member of Total E&P Executive Committee through to his retirement in 2010. Experience with Total SA included upstream engineering, operational and managerial positions around the globe.  Michel is also a Non Executive Director of the Board of Expro International Group Ltd, and has contributed in a similar capacity within other organisations.

Eric is a graduate from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris and joined Elf (now Total) in 1983.

Up until 1996, Eric held various positions as a Drilling & Wells engineer in France, Netherland, Italy, Norway, United Kingdom and Congo before being appointed Technical Contracts Manager for E&P, then Technical support Manager for Africa. From 2001 to 2005, he was Vice President Operations in Syria, then in Iran.  In 2005, he was appointed Deputy Vice-President Drilling & Wells for Total E&P and in 2009, became Vice President Operations in Total E&P Angola, Total’s flagship affiliate in Deepwater. Eric responsibilities covered in particular Drilling and Subsea activities for deepwater Blocks 17 and 32. In 2013, he became Deputy President Operations for Total E&P and since early 2017 has held the position of Vice President Drilling & Wells for Total E&P. 

Eric is a member of the IADC Well Control Institute Board of Directors.

Greg is responsible for co-ordinating tactical and strategic-level support for the Corporation’s preparedness and response efforts to a variety of hazards - serving as primary interface with Tier 3 response co-operatives, trade associations and government agencies on oil spill response matters.  He is active in API and IPIECA-IOGP JIPs and is currently Chair of API’s Spills Advisory Group. Assignments with ExxonMobil during a period of some 20 years have included operations, supply, and SH&E activities. Prior to that, Greg served for 7 years as a consultant to the Federal government assisting with the development of regulations stemming from the Oil Pollution Act of 1990. He also served as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard both on active duty and in the reserves where he focused on oil spill response issues in addition to serving as a deck officer on USCG cutters. Greg is currently Chair of the Board of Directors of the Marine Preservation Association.

His previous roles within Hess included the management of emergency preparedness & response for Hess’s offshore operations and developing the EHS assurance scheme.  Josh is currently acting as a project manager for Hess and pursuing his MBA.

Yong has 29-year experience in the oil and gas industry, he began his profession as a mud-logging geologist and then progressed into various supervisory and leadership positions in PETRONAS’ operations, locally and internationally including Sudan and Turkmenistan. He has dedicated a long stint of his career managing Tier-1 and Tier-2 oil spill prevention and management, and is currently heading Health and Safety for PETRONAS globally. Concurrently, he serves as a director for two PETRONAS subsidiaries, Petronas Australia Pty Limited and Petronas Carigali (Jabung) Ltd.

A qualified British Technology and Education Council (BTEC) assessor for Offshore Installation Manager (OIM), Yong is also a Certified OHSAS18001 Lead Auditor and Certified Coach from Canadian Council of Professional Certification Global (CCPC Global), Canada.

Yong graduated from University Technology of Malaysia with an Engineering Degree in Petroleum Engineering and Herriot Watt University of United Kingdom with a Master of Business Administration.

After graduating in Chemical Engineering from the University of Exeter, Robert joined Dresser Atlas Houston in 1980, subsequently holding progressively senior positions in operations, sales and management roles globally.  In 1994 he moved to Singapore as Vice President Asia Pacific.  Following the acquisition of Western Atlas by Baker Hughes in 1998 Robert moved back to Houston as Vice President Global Operations and then Vice President Sales. In 2005, he left Baker Hughes, joined Vetco Aibel and became President of Aibel Holdings. In 2009 Robert left Aibel and joined Total Safety Inc. as Senior Vice President International Operations. In 2013 he was appointed CEO of Oil Spill Response Limited.

Declan worked extensively in Asia and Europe as a geologist and drilling engineer in the exploration and production industry prior to joining OSRL. He was previously the General Manager of the Southampton Base in the United Kingdom before moving to Singapore as Regional Director to oversee operations in Asia Pacific. In his current role, based in Southampton, Declan leads all aspects of the company’s assurance, technical and operations support activities, including the oversight of health, safety, environment and quality systems, the development of skills and techniques, project management as well as maintenance and infrastructure.

After graduating from Southampton university as a bachelor of law Richard spent over 10 years at PwC qualifying as a chartered accountant and working with a portfolio of regional and international business. Richard joined OSRL in 2015 as Group Financial Controller before being appointed as Finance Director in June 2019. As Finance Director of OSRL he has overall responsibility for all financial matters of the Group. This includes financial control, reporting both internally and to shareholders; the annual business planning and budget processes; and the communication with members of changes to annual subscription rates. Richard also works with external providers to ensure appropriate financial facilities are in place to support the Group's Response and Preparedness activities.

Matt has responsibility for the Supply Chain & Resources Group. This includes our global aviation assets/services, the logistics & travel group, the resourcing team, and the procurement activities. Matt joined OSRL in 1999 and has held positions in Operations, Preparedness and SWIS, in the UK and Singapore. Matt was previously the SWIS Director responsible for developing and delivering the Subsea Well Intervention Service. He has an engineering background as well as an MBA from Southampton University.

Simon has responsibility for the management and development of our preparedness activities. His previous roles include business development and project management positions in marine services and subsea construction companies. Simon is a Naval Architect and Chartered Engineer.

Prior to joining OSRL, he was HR Director for a global consultancy and contracting organisation, within the infrastructure and real estate sectors. Prior to joining the Company, Rob was the Managing Director of an environmental technology spin-off from a major nuclear corporation before moving into the waste management services sector, where he was the General Manager of a growing hazardous waste business.

Rob joined OSRL in 2003 as a Regional Director UK where he is responsible for management of all personnel and services delivered in the Africa, Europe and Middle East regions.

Andy has over 20 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry predominantly on capital projects for field developments with a subsea focus. Andy has worked for detailed design houses, concept / front end consultancy companies, installation contractors and most recently at ConocoPhillips being responsible for the Jasmine HP/HT field development, Enochdhu field development and the latest phases of the Britannia Satellites subsea project deliveries including a 3rd party project tie-back topside modifications scope.

Andy joined the OSRL Subsea Well Intervention Service (SWIS) organisation full-time early 2018 in a global role as Engineering Manager with the prime accountability of maintaining the response readiness of the OSRL SWIS equipment for subscribers.

As SWIS Director Andy has overall accountability for the OSRL subsea business, is the focal point for the SWIS subscribers / lenders and Chair of STAF (Subscribers Technical Advisory Forum).

Michael is responsible for OSRL’s service delivery throughout the Americas.  He joined OSRL in 2014, initially serving as Duty Manager and most recently as Regional Manager for the Middle East.  Prior to joining OSRL, Michael served 20+ years in the U.S. Coast Guard in both operational and staff tours, all within the marine safety program.  He holds a B.S. from the University of Maryland and a M.S. from the University of Houston, both in Chemical Engineering.

Darren has spent more than 10 years in various capacities in Spill Response, Training & Consultancy and Business Development. He has been involved in the oil spill response industry for the last 14 years and gained considerable experience from responding to oil spill incidents around the world.

Darren holds a background in engineering and has previously managed the OSRL Training Function and Business Development Teams. He is now the Asia Pacific Regional Director for OSRL with responsibility for the oversight of personnel and service delivery in the region.
