The SWIS Team were delighted to welcome some of our Capping and Containment subscribers to the Southampton base last week (April 26^th / 27^th) for the first face to face technical forum of 2016.

Following a meeting with the aviation authorities on Thursday, March 31, 2016,  the Boeing 727 wide area aerial dispersant service is now in place and available to members.

With just under two weeks to go, OSRL are getting ready to exhibit and present at this landmark biennial event in Stavanger, Norway. Find out more about who will be attending from OSRL and what they will be sharing at the conference. 

OSRL’s response specialist, Bjørnar Andrè Fonn, participated in a pilot course on spill response in cold climates and ice infested waters, a project by the Norwegian Clean Seas Association for Operating Companies (NOFO), lead and facilitated by the Norwegian Fire Academy. This course is a pilot for a course which is undergoing development, and will be finalised in 2017.

Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) has launched two new e-learning courses; Incident Management Systems (IMS) 100 and 200, designed specifically for the oil and gas industry. Both courses align with the IPIECA (The global oil and gas industry association for environmental and social issues) and IOGP (International Association of Oil & Gas Producers) Good Practice Guide on IMS for the oil and gas industry, ensuring the content is at the forefront of industry best practice.
