OSRL Ghana Limited (OSRLGL) is pleased to announce it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Sabre Education as part of its ongoing commitment to investing in communities in Ghana.

Under this MOU, OSRLGL is supporting Sabre in the development of the Early Childhood Education Centre at the University of Education, Winneba. The project includes the procurement of furniture for the five classrooms in the Early Childhood Education Centre and the construction of two outside teaching areas.

Commenting on the community project, Samuel Anto-Mensah, OSRL Ghana Director said, “OSRL Ghana Limited is seeking to play an active role in the development of young people in Ghana. Investments in education have positive ripple effects throughout the society. The importance of early years education has been recognised by the Ghanaian government as a critical tool for human capital development and we are pleased to be supporting Sabre Education create a brighter future for children in Ghana.”

Sabre’s focus in Ghana is on early years education which faces several challenges including poor learning environments and weak teacher capacity. Early years education has been widely recognised to have the greatest impact on how a child performs at school and the adult they become.

Sabre’s Brighter Futures Programme provides an innovative and carefully considered response to these challenges, delivered through Building Playful Schools and providing Transformational Teacher Training.
