In 2020 the OSRL Board endorsed an ambitious Five-Year Plan for Wildlife Emergency Preparedness & Response built around Four Strategic Aims to Expand Understanding, Facilitate Collaboration, Enhance Preparedness and Improve Response Capability.
In this webinar Paul Kelway, OSRL’s Wildlife Preparedness & Response Manager, will explain the objectives and key elements of OSRL’s Five-year strategy for Wildlife Emergency Preparedness and Response. He will be joined by Hugo Nijkamp, General Manager of the Sea Alarm Foundation and Stephen van der Spuy, Chief Executive Officer of SANCCOB and Chair of the Global Oiled Wildlife Response System (GOWRS) Project Steering Group, who will help sketch the current picture of tiered response preparedness, future steps that industry could take, and the services currently available to OSRL Members to support their efforts.
The webinar will include a panel discussion on the way that the OSRL Strategic Plan can be expected to help industry in its implementation of Tiered Preparedness & Response Good Practice for wildlife emergencies.
