If you will be undertaking the role of an Environmental Advisor within an Emergency Response Room during an oil spill incident and have a valid OPEP Level 3 or OPEP Level 4 certificate that is soon due for renewal, then this course will refresh your knowledge of the spill response requirements within the UKCS.

Using a realistic scenario covering all aspects of a spill response, delegates apply their knowledge and refresh their ability to develop a spill response strategy and communicate with relevant government agencies.

Is this course for me?

This training course provides you with revalidation of the OPEP Level 3 and OPEP Level 4 certification by attending this comprehensive refresher for Onshore Emergency Responders in accordance with UK training requirements.

Refresher training must be completed within 3 months of the original certificate expiry (valid for 36 months). Failure to do so will require full re-certification by completing the entire training course.

What will I learn?

This training course is comprised of a one-day exercise starting from the initial spill notification through to the production of a full spill response strategy which includes both offshore and shoreline spill response elements.
