Purpose of the role: 

This position involves strategising and executing direct marketing and sales initiatives aimed at expanding the reach of OSRL's published training courses (PTC) to both Members and third parties in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region in alignment with established business plans and targets. Additionally, the role focuses on serving as a Preparedness Solution Advisor, which plays a vital role in driving revenue growth in alignment with the company strategy by identifying and nurturing leads, building strong relationships with existing and new customers, as well as other stakeholders, and converting opportunities for all preparedness business streams into profitable contracts as well as securing new Members and subscribers to supplementary services. Responsible for understanding our services thoroughly, tailoring solutions to meet the needs of our members and other potential customers. This role requires effective communication skills, a customer-focused approach, and a proactive attitude. 

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Accountable for achieving budgeted revenue targets for PTC and, as a minimum, achieving sales that allow the APAC PTC business to break even financially.
  • Accountable for planning and implementing marketing activities (direct and cold calls, emails, use of social media, customer visits and other marketing techniques) to agreed budgets to achieve or exceed target sales volumes and revenues within agreed timelines. Keep the Training section of the company website updated in conjunction with the Marketing Department.
  • Respond to and maintain close follow-up of all PTC sales enquiries by email, telephone and personal visits when required.
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support and liaison with client decision-makers.
  • Work with marketing and business development teams to carry out market research, customer surveys, and competitor analysis. Be knowledgeable about general market conditions in order to input and update sales plans on an ongoing basis to grow the business.
  • Keep the CRM database current on customers who had/potentially need our training.
  • Contribute to the company culture of continuous improvement and working as a team.
  • Assist the APAC Preparedness Solutions Manager in the preparation of the budget for PTC and advise on the pricing strategy in alignment with Market Positioning.
  • Work with the Marketing Team to create and manage PTC marketing campaigns.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to manage the PTC business 

 

Additional responsibilities:

  • Meet sales targets to generate income for assigned accounts, countries, regions, or services.
  • Conduct research to identify potential clients and opportunities for new and repeat business.
  • Initiate contact with prospective clients through cold calls, emails, and networking.
  • Collaborate with team members to create high-quality, commercially viable proposals and presentations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities and represent the company at industry events and conferences.
  • Serve as the bid sponsor for bids and tenders within assigned areas while assisting the wider team in responding to large tenders.
  • Contribute to the development of annual sales plans and specific country or region sales plans. 

 

Requirements:

  • A diploma in business, sales or marketing or related field is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous success and experience managing client accounts, particularly achieving genuine sales targets.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to undertake additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.
