Simon Blaen

Senior Consultant

Simon leads OSRL’s Geomatics team where he oversees the delivery of oil spill modelling and environmental sensitivity mapping projects. 

He also forms part of the dedicated on-call response modelling team, providing modelling services in the event of a spill.

Simon joined OSRL in 2011 as part of the operations department, where he gained experience responding to spills around the globe as well as undertaking secondments to assist clients with oil spill preparedness. Simon has also spent two years in OSRL’s Aberdeen office, working closely with members operating in the UKCS. Simon joined the Geomatics team in 2017.

Simon holds a degree in Physics and a Masters in Maritime Civil Engineering.
