The world of psychology and decision-making bid farewell to a luminary in late March as Daniel Kahneman, the Nobel laureate who revolutionised our understanding of human cognition, passed away. Among his many contributions, Kahneman's explanation of System 1 and System 2 thinking is a cornerstone of modern psychology.

World Day for Safety and Health is observed every year on 28 April and aims to raise awareness about the prevention of occupational accidents and ill health globally.

Hoy es el Día Internacional de la Educación y, para conmemorar la ocasión, nos pusimos en contacto con Jake Smallbone, un estudiante de doctorado de tercer año en la Universidad de Essex interesado en la ecología microbiana de los entornos marinos. In May, the UK-based members of Operations Team 1A left the comfort of our Southampton base for a week of exercises, team building and organised fun with the Weymouth Harbour Team.
