This course provides an insight into oil spill modelling programmes and gives hands-on experience in setting up and running scenarios.
The aim of the course is to give delegates an insight into how oil spill models should be used, such as OSCAR, OSIS and OILMAP. It is highly interactive and is ideal for developing experience in using oil spill modelling for planning and decision-making purposes.
It shows how effectively spill response issues can be solved by designing modelling scenarios. The course presenters are OSRL’s Modelling Experts who will help to answer key questions you may have about modelling.
No previous knowledge of modelling is necessary to take this course.
• Modelling for Oil Spill Contingency Plans/Oil Pollution and Emergency Plans(OSCP’s/OPEP’s)• Modelling for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA’s)• Modelling for Net Environmental Benefit Analysis (NEBA)• Modelling for assessing response strategies
