Understand Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER) to ensure safe lifting operations.

This course is suitable for any personnel involved in lifting operations in the oil and gas industry, providing a general introduction to the health and safety regulations surrounding lifting operations.

Upon successful completion of this course, the candidate will be aware of lifting regulations, how to plan a lift, the different classifications of lifts, the different types of lifting equipment covered under LOLER, and the hazards and controls associated with this equipment. The overarching objective of this course is to prevent workplace accidents by raising awareness of the hazards and to instil safe lifting practices in personnel, ultimately reducing the risk of lifting operation accidents.

This course explains Lifting Operation and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER), the different types of lifting equipment, factors to consider when selecting equipment, the hazards of mechanical lifting activities and the roles involved in such activities.

The duration of the course is 40 minutes with a 20 question final assessment.
