Promotes the development of hazard identification and risk assessment systems.
This course promotes the development of hazard identification and risk assessment systems to provide a safer work environment. The candidate will learn about the nature of hazards, methods of hazard identification, energy sources and control measures.
The candidate will develop a greater and more thorough understanding of these systems through interactive 360 degree exercises and test questions. Importantly, this course will focus on personal responsibility and the active role the candidate is expected to undertake in hazard identification and risk mitigation.
The course provides candidates with instruction on how to recognise the hazards presented in their daily working lives at any time and identify control measures that can be put in place to minimise the risks.
Learning Outcomes:- Explain what hazard identification is- Identify methods of hazard identification- Describe the different energy sources that may be hazardous- Identify examples of control measures for each energy source- Describe how to use your senses to detect hazards- Explain the importance of good observation- Demonstrate identification of hazards within relevant scenarios
On successful completion of this course, candidates will have an excellent appreciation of the key features of hazard identification systems used throughout the oil and gas industry.
The duration of the course is 60 minutes and includes practical 360 degree environment scenario assessments and a 20 questions assessment.
