Response services in West Africa are provided in the form of the West African Surveillance Platform (WASP) service, available through a supplementary agreement.
In partnership with Action Air Environmental (AAE), OSRL has created a service which combines technology with unprecedented regional coverage for improved situational awareness. This additional service is available to all OSRL members who require Tier 2 capability in this region, providing aerial surveillance capability from the western boundary of Cote d’Ivoire in the North West to the Southern boundary of Angola and the adjoining sea for a distance of 150 miles from the coast.
With wheels up in 4 hours, surveillance activities can provide timely, accurate and high-quality information allowing early situational awareness to make informed and justified decisions about the response in hand.
