The equipment is maintained and stored so that it is 'response-ready', capable of being transported as rapidly as possible.

OIE
Maintenance is carried out quarterly to ensure OIE condition and function is retained to the highest standard.

Maintenance is conducted at the OSRL SWIS Base Trieste by Saipem personnel to pre-defined routines set out in procedures (available to members on the documentation site).

Every 3 and 9 months: Visual inspection, run of test equipment, grease replacement.
Every 6 months: Visual inspection, run of test equipment, actuation of carrier hydraulic components, replacement of critical seals, greasing replacement.
Every 12 months: Visual inspection, run and maintenance of test equipment, actuation of carrier hydraulic components, replacement of critical seals, full function test, grease replacement.
