Course details

The IMS 402 course presents an introduction to how the Incident Management System (IMS) is used to manage multiple resources as well as the management needed to expand the structure of incident management.

This course provides the participant with an orientation of the IMS, reviews IMS principles and features, basic terminology, and common responsibilities. It provides sufficient information about the IMS to enable participants to gain an increased level of understanding of the IMS, and how it can be applied during an incident or event. Upon completion of this course, the participant will receive an OSRL certificate.

 

Is this course for me?

This course is perfect for business executives and country managers, as well as senior officials, representatives and agency managers.  The training will allow them to be better prepared to appreciate how the organizational structure develops, how the Incident Management System is used to manage multiple resources and the management needed for expanding and complex incidents. Delegates will also be able to recognize the planning cycle process and familiarize themselves with elements of an Incident Action Plan.
