Subsea Technical Forum: Celebrating 10 years of SWIS

Join us in Stavanger, Norway on June 15th, 2023, as we celebrate 10 years of Subsea Well Intervention Services (SWIS) at our Subsea Technical Forum. This event is a unique opportunity for industry professionals to learn about the latest technologies and services available in the subsea well intervention sector.

We would like to extend this invitation to all who are interested in learning more about SWIS and how industry collaboration has evolved through mutual aid and the Global Subsea Response Network.

This forum will provide a unique opportunity for you to gain insights into the history and the story behind SWIS, including an overview of our equipment and services at our base in Stavanger.

During the event, you will hear from two industry experts. Firstly, Bjørn Risvik, Advisor Well Control at Equinor, will discuss the Subsea Well Response Project. This project is a remarkable collaboration among industry players who joined forces to develop a comprehensive and strategically important suite of emergency subsea source control equipment.

Secondly, Andy Myers, Director of Subsea Well Incident Services (SWIS) at OSRL, will elaborate on the 10-year development of the service, as well as the Global Subsea Response Network and industry mutual aid.

In addition, the presentation will showcase various key components, including the 100 mt Capping Stack, which has airfreight capability, the Subsea Incident Response Toolkit, which includes BOP intervention, and the Subsea Dispersant application system.
