The Global Logistics Team (GLT) consists of 11 people located in three of our bases across the globe, the UK, Norway, and Singapore. The team has a mixture of roles focusing on the international movement of personnel and cargo. The GLT support the full range of OSRL services, including consultancy work for our members, business-as-usual travel for the organisation and delivering equipment hire packages.
The team provide 24-hour on-call support in-line with OSRL's response department to support spill response activity. The GLT coordinate the mobilisation of response personnel and equipment to the incident location. During a response when time is critical this is where travel and cargo transportation can become complex and when our expertise is needed the most.
Øistein has been with OSRL since 2012 and is currently the SWIS Base Manager at OSRL in Norway and is leading the Global Logistics Team. He is responsible for the base, personnel, equipment operational readiness and cargo movement. Øistein has 35 years of experience in the logistics industry, with 14 years in the Grieg group, as Branch Manager, Operations Manager, Key Account Manager and General Manager of Grieg Logistics Asian development based in Singapore. His focus areas have been oil & gas logistics, re-supply, "high & heavy" project Cargo and project management.
Yei Ling is an Incident Manager at OSRL at our Singapore base and is involved in managing the movement of personnel and equipment to various countries during emergency oil spill responses. She is an experienced logistician and holds a BSc (Hons) in Maritime Studies and MSc in Logistics. Yei Ling currently leads a team managing peacetime logistics for the company. She has also authored conference papers and presented at International Oil Spill Conferences and Technical Forums in the Asia Pacific region and globally.
David works within the Global Logistics Team at the Southampton, UK office. He is the subsea lead within the GLT and helps members to plan and mobilise SWIS equipment. An experienced logistician with more than 35 years working in this chosen field, David holds a BSc (Hons) in Supply Chain Management. In the past, David has supported forum events on behalf of OSRL and has project managed the writing of Logistics Execution Plans (LEPs) to support members drilling campaigns.
Kate works within the Global Logistics Team at the Southampton, UK office. She has been with OSRL since 2016 and is IATA (International Air Transport Association), IMDG & ADR accredited. Kate has successfully completed her Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport qualification Level 3. In her day-to-day role, Kate is responsible for our Equipment Hire Services and Business as Usual cargo movements. As part of the GLT, Kate handles the global movement of cargo in the event of a response.
Max works within the Global Logistics Team at the Southampton, UK office. He joined OSRL in 2022 with 10 years of experience in the logistics industry. He has a wealth of operational logistics expertise and holds the following qualifications - IATA, IMDG, ADR dangerous goods certification and Export Control Certificate OGEL. His last role before joining OSRL was that of Logistics Coordinator with Expro Group where he organized local and international transport and manages imports and exports and customs clearance.
Danny is a Global Logistics Specialist based in Singapore. He started off as an Oil Spill Responder in 2018 before moving into a more specialised logistics role in the Global Logistics Team in 2019. Danny covers all aspects of Logistics in the APAC region while working closely with the global team. His responsibilities mainly include ensuring that proper logistics processes and procedures are in place in the event of an emergency response while assisting other OSRL departments with any logistical needs. Danny has a background in Mechanical Engineering, from his stdies in Scotland.
Alice is the Travel Manager for OSRL. She has been with the company for 10 years and started out as a receptionist in a temporary role. Over the years, she has managed to find her career in travel. She has studied several Business Travel qualifications and sat on the Board of Directors of the Institute of Travel Management for four years, and has often taken part in expert panels at conferences and events. Alice manages the travel program for OSRL, which includes a global contract with a Travel Management Company, a traveller security contract with a Travel Security and Medical Organisation, Visa Services and Ground Transport Services.
Amy is the Global Travel Advisor for OSRL. She has been with the company for five years and holds a BSc (Hons) in International Travel Management. Since being with OSRL, she has completed The Fundamentals of Business Travel qualification. Amy provides comprehensive support for all UK business-as-usual global travel. This includes flight/accommodation bookings, as well as processing visa applications, ensuring all safety and security protocols are met, and that travellers are medically travel-ready before departing for their travel destination.
Emily has been the Global Travel Advisor for OSRL since September 2022. She provides comprehensive support for all UK business-as-usual global travel. This includes flight/accommodation bookings, as well as processing visa applications, ensuring all safety and security protocols are met and that travellers are medically travel-ready before departing for their travel destination. Additionally, Emily is on duty as a Spill Travel Booker, arranging travel for personnel during new and ongoing spills. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Marine Science and previously worked in Counter Pollution for the UK Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA).
Leroy is a Travel Coordinator based in Singapore. He joined OSRL in 2022 with more than 25 years of experience in the travel industry. He holds an IATA-accredited certification in Ticketing and has a wealth of experience in handling corporate ticketing and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Events) events. In addition to travel, he also takes on the role of supporting Singapore HR with administrative duties.
