Types of Membership

Membership with Oil Spill Response Limited gives you ready access to response services 24/7, 365 days of the year, no matter where and when you need us. Wherever your oil spill risks lie in the supply chain, our expertise and resources are within your reach anytime, anywhere. By engaging us to undertake all of your readiness requirements, as a Member you would enjoy the benefit of having a seamless preparedness and response capability.

Our Memberships – Participant and Associate

Participant membership provides a company with global access to the full range of spill response and preparedness services.  It is available only to qualifying international oil companies.  Participant members become shareholders in OSRL pay an one-off entry fee, an annual subscription and share in the growth and benefits of the company; as well as participating in determining the strategic direction of the company.

Associate membership is available to oil companies who have a specific operational requirement for defined sites. Associate Membership  provides the same response capability as Participant membership and is also available to ship owners, charterers or operators who require access to our services on a world-wide (excluding the USA) or regional basis.

Oil Spill Response Limited offers a wide range of Supplementary Services to complement our core membership. These services are available only available to our members and are subscribed to through supplementary agreements.

 

Subsea Well Intervention Services (SWIS)

OSRL is proud to introduce its Subsea Well Intervention Services (SWIS) capability; providing access to advanced well intervention equipment built by industry for industry and a dedicated team of subsea and industry experts.

Global Dispersant Stockpile (GDS)

OSRL has created a readily accessible and easily mobilised stockpile of dispersant to be available to the industry. The stockpile is large enough to provide for serious incidents (5000 m3), but spread globally for a more local, faster response.

Entry Fee:                         The entry fee is determined by the OSRL membership banding of the subscriber
Annual Subscription:         The subscriber shall pay OSRL an annual subscription fee, based on their OSRL Membership Band,                                                       calculated as the Client's Proportion of the Company's projected total cost
Contract Period:                10 years from original start of service

Subsea Intervention

Created for Industry by Industry, delivered to you by Oil Spill Response Limited.

OSRL's dedicated subsea division, SWIS, provides our Members with the opportunity to access response ready, subsea well intervention equipment which complements the Tier 3 response our membership provides.

West and Central Africa Aerial Surveillance and Dispersant Spraying Services (WACAF)

Provides subscribers with an aerial surveillance and dispersant spraying service from the western boundary of Côte d'Ivoire in the northwest to the southern boundary of Angola, and also includes the adjoining sea for a distance of 150 miles from the coast.

United Kingdom Continental Shelf Services (UKCS)

UKCS Aerial Surveillance Service                                                                                                                                                       This supplementary Tier 2 service is available to all Members with oil and gas E&P facilities in UKCS waters. It covers operations in the UK Continental Shelf. The service fully complies with the UK legislative aerial surveillance and spill response requirements set out in the OPRC Convention. The service currently utilises the dedicated aircraft from Doncaster airport. The aircraft is equipped with: a sensor-turret (non-UV), fully integrated Marine Band Radio, and hand-held SatCom with external antenna.

OSPRAG Capping Device                                                                                                                                                             Designed to seal off a subsea well and regain control in the unlikely event of a blowout. All UKCS operators must show that they have access and the ability to deploy such a stack.
