Now you can have the unique experience of working with real oil in our new Real Oil Beachmaster Course conducted in association with Cedre (Centre of Documentation, Research and Experimentation on Accidental Water Pollution). This course simulates an oil spill within various controlled environments, allowing you to experience working with real oil and apply theoretical knowledge in a truly practical sense.

A sneak preview of spill response in cold climates and ice infested waters

OSRL’s response specialist, Bjørnar Andrè Fonn, participated in a pilot course on spill response in cold climates and ice infested waters, a project by the Norwegian Clean Seas Association for Operating Companies (NOFO), lead and facilitated by the Norwegian Fire Academy. This course is a pilot for a course which is undergoing development, and will be finalised in 2017.
Bjørnar answers some of our questions about the course and cold weather response.

Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) has launched a NEW e-learning course; On-Scene Commander (Australia), designed specifically for Australian oil and gas operators. This online course gives the user a relevant and unique learning experience incorporating the latest regulatory requirements for the region and industry good practice guidelines.
