In May 2021, OSRL had the pleasure of delivering remote crisis management training to VTTV Oil Terminal in Vasiliko, Cyprus. We initially planned to provide the course in person during 2020 but had to rearrange plans due to COVID related travel restrictions. Read how we remotely helped VTTV refresh their understanding of crisis management, including communications and media management.
The members of the Inland Core Group share collective thoughts on the nuance of inland spill preparedness and response activities. Their observations have been formed through their time at a global tier 3 centre covering risks from onshore production, transportation, storage and refining operations.
We have had the pleasure of working with our member Total E&P Denmark (TEPDK) since 2017, helping them build and maintain the confidence and competence of their Emergency Management Team (EMT). We recently returned to Denmark to resume this training programme and further develop the skills of TEPDK EMT Members.
Our Response Readiness Report 2020 takes you through all the components of readiness and how they combined to maintain our capability, and how these were assured. The presentation also examines the background behind why this was necessary, before elaborating on the issues that can be encountered during a cold weather response and detailing the training that OSRL has implemented to best prepare for these challenges.
The KrisEnergy-operated Apsara oil field is Cambodia’s first hydrocarbon development, which could mark an unprecedented milestone in the economic growth of the Southeast Asian nation. OSRL is fortunate to witness and play a role in this significant event by advising the first upstream producer (KrisEnergy) in Cambodia in the planning and writing of the Oil Spill Contingency Plan (OSCP).
