Este curso describe las decisiones, consideraciones y acciones cruciales que los Gerentes de Instalaciones Offshore (OIM) deberán tomar en los primeros 100 minutos de un incidente de derrame de petróleo.

 

Construido en torno a un típico Plan de Emergencia de Contaminación por Petróleo (OPEP) que cubre decisiones y acciones críticas, este curso basado en escenarios es altamente interactivo, sumergiéndolo en un entorno real de las primeras etapas de un derrame de petróleo, reflejando aspectos de su propia OPEP.

 

Es altamente personalizado teniendo en cuenta no solo el Plan Nacional de Contingencia de Australia, sino también los requisitos de los organismos reguladores australianos como NOPSEMA (Autoridad Nacional de Seguridad del Petróleo en Alta Mar y Gestión Ambiental) y AMSA (Autoridad Australiana de Seguridad Marítima).

It is a legal requirement that oil and gas entities operating in the Australian Exclusive Economic Zone have trained responders at all levels who can act swiftly and effectively in the event of a release of oil from your installation.

This course been designed specifically for:

  • Offshore Installation Managers (OIM’s)
  • Offshore On-Scene Commanders
  • Offshore personnel in key emergency response roles 

This course will give you the knowledge and understanding in the following areas:

  • International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships (MARPOL)
  • International Convention on Oil Pollution Preparedness, Response and Co-operation (OPRC)
  • Potential sources of oil spills
  • Oil spill behaviour and characteristics
  • Oil Pollution Emergency Plans (OPEPs) and their use
  • The role of Australian Agencies
  • Dispersants
  • Response safety management
  • Oil movement and quantification using the BONN Agreement Oil Appearance Code

Delivered through e-learning, you will have access to OSRL’s online learning management system (LMS). This innovative digital learning system allows you to conveniently manage your study time over single or multiple sessions.

  • Intelligent learning design – brain friendly learning experience. Not just reading through text and information, this course is highly visual, involving you in an interactive manner, immersing you in scenarios where you are required to process content and make decisions.

  • Self-paced delegate led learning -  Ability to revisit topics as many times as you like before taking the final assessment. Two attempts at final assessment with a pass mark of 70%.
