Dong Xin joined OSRL in 2010. She is accountable for consultancy project delivery in APAC, including oil spill contingency plans, capability reviews, tactical response plans, workshops, oil spill modelling, as well as table top exercises. She has led numerous projects delivered across the region and globally in Australia, Brunei, China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Mozambique and Equatorial Guinea.
She has been working closely with many key stakeholders ranging from government agencies to national and international oil companies. She was the project manager helping government authority to develop National Oil Spill Contingency Plan for one of the ASEAN countries.
She worked previously in Ops Department of OSRL responding to oil spills. Prior to joining OSRL, she had worked both in China and in Singapore in the environmental planning and water research area.
She holds a Master’s degree in Project Management from the National University of Singapore, as well as a Master and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Tsinghua University in China.
