Mission and Vision
Mission Statement
The mission of Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) is to provide Members with resources to prepare for and respond to oil spills efficiently and effectively on a global basis.
Vision
Our vision is that OSRL will
- Exceed the rapidly evolving needs of its Members and associated need for broader response capabilities both in terms of geographical scope and technological span (of particular note is growth in upstream activity).
- Be the provider of choice for solutions to oil spill issues.
To that effect we shall
- Maintain a suitably sized and trained workforce, ensure the competence of our staff by attracting and training high calibre personnel and develop a presence in locations around th world where the demand for our resources (both personnel and equipment for preparedness and response) is required.
- Continuously improve the level and breadth of service provided to Members.
- Have a suitably sized training service recognised as setting international standards for both our internal and external training where premium-end delivery will differentiate us from other providers
- Provide an industry voice to encourage governments, their agencies, industry and other involved parties to adopt and maintain the principles of tiered preparedness, response and cooperation.
