OSRL will be participating in EAS Congress 2012 held in Changwon, Korea, on 9 - 13 July.
The conference theme for 2012 is "Building a Blue Economy: Strategy, Opportunities and Partnerships in the Seas of East Asia". OSRL has a long association with this triennial conference through our partnership with conference organiser PEMSEA.
OSRL will be exhibiting at Booth 22, located at Exhibition Hall 1, 3rd floor of the Changwon Exhibiton Convention Centre. In addition OSRL will chair Session 2 of a special workshop on "The Future of the Maritime Transport in a Blue Economy", addressing initiatives taken to address oil pollution from transportation and production on 11 July. OSRL Regional Director Declan O'Driscoll will be speaking on the topic "Macondo Well - Deepwater Horizon Blowout: Lessons Learned and Recent Developments" while Senior Consultant Joselito Guevarra will be taking part in a panel discussion on career opportunities in ocean and coastal conservation and management at the Third East Asian Seas Youth Forum held at the Changwon Moonsung University.
